I am posting on behalf of my elder brother, who is a 3rd Engineer on a bulk carrier. He joined this vessel less than a month ago. He told me the ship is completely manual, and he’s been working 15–18 hours a day. He’s physically exhausted and mentally drained. The bigger issue is the Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer. They are much older and extremely abusive toward him and the 4th Engineer. They regularly threat
