US to Germany advice
reddit:r/shipping · 2026-04-03 20:30:47
I am trying to order a Casio Duro Marlin (MDV106) from the US because the Version on the German market does not have the marlin. The watch costs ~70$ on Walmarts website. Any advice if I should buy one from a reseller (~130€) or should I order one from Walmart and import it. If you suggest importing do you have any websites you can recommend? I am very new to this. Thanks in advance :) submitted by /u/GrilledCheese

Marine electronics have become incredibly advanced, but choosing the right setup for a smaller boat can be tricky. Chartplotters, sonar, GPS units, and networking systems all offer different features. For those running smaller fishing or recreational boats, what electronics setup has worked well for you? Any recommendations that balance good performance without becoming overly expensive or complicated? submitted by /

Any realistic ship simulators for home use?
reddit:r/maritime · 2026-04-03 17:27:49
I'm a Chief Mate and have been doing a reasonable bit of ship handling recently and would definitely like to improve outside work. My ship has a bow and stern thruster but I'd love to spend some time learning how a ship with less equipment handles. Are there any good simulators you can get that actually account for things like transverse thrusts, interaction etc? submitted by /u/AdhesivenessNo9878 [link] [comments]
