my wife’s brother works as a painter on cargo vessels. his routine is pretty simple: checks a few sites, reaches out to people he knows, calls recruiters. but honestly it seems like a constant struggle to land the next contract after a rotation. sometimes he misses good openings, sometimes the offers are just too low. last time it took him almost 6 months to find something decent. curious how others deal with this.
